Parents Launch GoFundMe After Drug Poisoning Death at Bass Canyon

Fatal Incident at the Gorge Amphitheatre

Zion Randall, a 26-year-old from Olympia, died following a suspected drug poisoning at the 2026 Bass Canyon festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre. According to police, Randall fell ill after taking controlled substances from another attendee and ultimately collapsed at the festival's on-site medical facility. Grant County Sheriff's Office Kyle Foreman said Randall's death is being labeled as a drug poisoning rather than an overdose.

Arrest and Undercover Operation

Grant County authorities conducted an undercover operation at the Gorge following Randall's death and apprehended Quincy R. Travers, a 28-year-old man from Seattle. Police arrested Travers on suspicion of one count of delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, comprising one count each for cocaine, ketamine, and MDMA allegedly found in his possession.

Family Seeks Community Support

Randall's parents have established a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral expenses. His father described their deep shock in the campaign, which has raised $11,505 toward a $24,000 goal. Randall's father noted that navigating such an unexpected loss has created severe financial hardships as they prepare for a memorial service.

The family is asking for community support to cover the costs of honoring Zion and giving him the farewell he deserves.
