Peggy Gou Makes D.C. Debut at Echostage
Peggy Gou delivered a two-hour house and techno set Friday night at Echostage, marking her first-ever Washington D.C. headline appearance. The performance featured selections from a variety of artists alongside her own hit single, (It Goes Like) Nanana. After the set, she gifted her stage-worn sunglasses to a fan in the crowd.
Glow Block Party Brings Diplo to the Capitol
Anabel Englund and Westend opened with early sets, showcasing live vocals and Experts Only releases including Vision Blurred and The Ceiling. Diplo followed with a two-hour set that leaned on mixed edits and mashups rather than his own hits, including a flip of Skrillex's Ratata over Marie Davidson's Work It (Soulwax Remix). The outdoor venue offered a view of the U.S. Capitol Building throughout the night.
Meduza Closes Weekend with Hybrid-Live Show
JOA opened Saturday's show at Echostage before Meduza took over for the final hybrid-live Meduza 3 performance of the year. The Italian trio incorporated live piano elements throughout their set of house hits. Chromeo's Dave 1 made a surprise appearance to premiere a new Chromeo x Meduza collaboration and perform Chris Lorenzo's recent take on Fancy Footwork. Meduza closed with a mashup of Piece of Your Heart and Daft Punk's One More Time.
Upcoming D.C. events include the return of Glow Block Party featuring Lavern, MK, and The Chainsmokers, plus Echostage shows with Afrojack B2B Green Velvet, Fisher, Odesza (DJ Set), and Eric Prydz.
