German techno producer Peter Pahn has released his debut track on Truesoul, the melodic-leaning sister label to Drumcode. The single, titled 'LOUDERRR', marks a tonal shift for an artist who has spent recent years building his profile through releases on Drumcode itself.
A Steady Climb Through Drumcode's Roster
Pahn's trajectory has been gradual. His 2023 collaboration with HEERHORST and Teenage Mutants, 'Dark Clouds', became one of that year's standout techno cuts. He followed with 'Let the Beat Control Your Body' in 2024 and 'Crystal Sky' last year, cementing his place as a name to watch within the Drumcode family. With 'LOUDERRR', he pivots toward something more melodic and emotionally driven without losing the weight that defines his sound.
Built for Sunrise Slots
The track leans on silky chords, a Caribbean-tinged vocal hook, and heavy stabs that circle underneath the melody. It's designed for festival sets—the kind of record meant for sunset or sunrise slots where a crowd locks in together rather than a peak-time warehouse moment.
"'LOUDERRR' is all about energy and emotion," Pahn said. "The vocal line 'You're in my house, I demand that power / Crowd look loud, but I need it louder' really captures the essence of the track. I wanted to step outside my usual comfort zone and create something that feels bigger, more emotional, and built for those iconic sunset or sunrise moments where the whole crowd becomes one."
Truesoul's Melodic Mandate
Truesoul has carved out a niche as Drumcode's more melodic-leaning counterpart, offering a landing spot for producers exploring textures and vocal work that might not sit naturally on Drumcode's harder-edged catalog while still keeping one foot in techno's dancefloor mechanics. Pahn's arrival fits that mandate well.
'LOUDERRR' is out now on Truesoul.
