The Case Against Sleepwear

The petition frames the issue as one of effort versus laziness. "Raves are not sleepovers. Pajama pants are for bed," it reads. "Showing up in mass-produced sleepwear is not self-expression, it's laziness. Hello Kitty pants say you got dressed in the dark and called it a fit."

Scott describes her campaign as being about standards, though the petition touches on a larger generational divide in rave culture. Gen Z attendees have embraced comfort-driven fashion like oversized tees and baggy jorts, while Millennials recall an era of furry boots and arm-loads of kandi bracelets.
