Pier Play Festival Returns to Santa Monica Pier May 30

By Matt White

Pier Play Festival will take over Santa Monica Pier on Saturday, May 30th, 2026, marking the fourth edition of the boutique waterfront event. Produced by RASA in coordination with the Santa Monica Pier Foundation and the City of Santa Monica, the festival has sold out three consecutive years and established itself as one of Southern California's more distinctive electronic music gatherings.

Âme Live debuts new format with RHYE

This year's lineup is headlined by the global debut of Âme Live Presents… with special guest RHYE, a new format that expands Âme's live show to include guest vocalists. The bill also features AMÉMÉ, whose percussion-forward Afro-house sound fits the open-air oceanfront setting, alongside AWEN b2b Xinobi, French producer Notre Dame, and rising artist Darina Chuz.

Interactive activations and oceanfront programming

Beyond the music, Pier Play offers hands-on learn-to-DJ stations, interactive arcade games, photo moments, food and beverage offerings, VIP tastings, and a live custom car painting from contemporary street artist Chris Riggs. The festival transforms the landmark pier into what organizers describe as a curated playground of music, activations, and oceanfront energy.

Tickets are on sale now. The event continues Pier Play's positioning as a dance experience that blends polished production with the playful, colorful spirit of the pier itself.
