"Trap Com House" Meets Emotional Honesty

Riconoflow (born Ricardo Vieira) has released "lights on," a bilingual single from his debut EP Disruptive Beauty, out August 7, 2026. The track challenges conventional ideas about romantic intimacy, rejecting secrecy in favor of transparency.

"Everyone thinks intimacy starts when the lights go off… I think real intimacy starts when the lights are on, when you're comfortable enough to let someone see who you really are," Riconoflow explains. The song's premise centers on vulnerability as the foundation of genuine connection.

House Foundation, Trap Delivery

Producer Medeirin built the track on house beats, layering melodic trap and hip-hop delivery over the foundation. Riconoflow describes his style as "trap com house," a hybrid that integrates Brazilian rhythms with contemporary urban influences. The production avoids darker nightlife aesthetics, opting instead for a brighter, daylit atmosphere.

"'Lights on' is about chemistry that goes beyond appearances, it's about letting your guard down and finding someone who makes you feel completely comfortable being yourself," he emphasizes.

Discipline Outside the Studio

Born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Riconoflow spent his early years moving between Miami and Irvine before settling in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His multicultural upbringing informs his songwriting, which he describes as raw and authentic.

Outside music, the artist maintains a rigorous physical routine. As a jiu-jitsu black belt, he trains six days a week and surfs regularly. He credits sobriety and discipline with sustaining his creative energy, deliberately avoiding the excess often romanticized in the music industry.

Riconoflow has recently secured editorial support from Apple Music, a Deezer playlist cover, and a partnership with Symphonic. Disruptive Beauty explores themes of attraction, emotional honesty, and self-expression across multiple tracks.
