TL;DR

RÜFÜS DU SOL has achieved the highest-grossing ticket sales ever recorded for an electronic music tour, with their Inhale / Exhale World Tour reaching $158 million and 1.7 million fans across 98 shows on four continents. The 18-month run concluded with a sold-out, 43,500-capacity show at Toronto's Rogers Centre that grossed nearly $5 million.

“Toronto, what a way to end this tour”

RÜFÜS DU SOL has set a new benchmark for electronic music touring. According to Billboard, the Australian trio's Inhale / Exhale World Tour grossed $158 million and drew 1.7 million fans across four continents, making it the highest-grossing electronic music tour in history.

From Club Shows to Stadium Sellouts

The tour, named after the band's fifth album—which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album—wrapped on September 5 at Toronto's Rogers Centre. The sold-out stadium show drew 43,500 fans and grossed nearly $5 million, a far cry from the 350-person club the band played in the same city back in 2014.

Comprising Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George, and James Hunt, RÜFÜS DU SOL delivered 98 shows over 18 months: 54 dates in the United States and Canada, 21 in Europe, 13 in Oceania, and 10 in Latin America.

North American Leg Leads Revenue

The concluding North American leg proved the most lucrative stretch of the tour, grossing $71.8 million and selling 693,000 tickets over 31 dates. The final Toronto show alone brought in nearly $5 million.

"Toronto, what a way to end this tour," the band wrote on Instagram following the final performance. The 18-month run cements RÜFÜS DU SOL's position at the forefront of electronic music's live landscape.
