Seven Lions to Perform with Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall

Seven Lions will bring his catalog to Benaroya Hall on September 25 for Opus Harmonia, a one-night performance with the Seattle Symphony. The show features 17 of the producer's tracks arranged for a 50-piece orchestra by Andrew Joslyn, the symphony's Associate Director of Popular Programming. Guest vocalists Brieanna Grace, Dylan Matthew, Fiora, Haliene, and Jonathan Mendelsohn will join the performance.

First Electronic Collaboration for Seattle Symphony

The project marks the Seattle Symphony's first collaboration with an electronic artist in this format. Joslyn, an orchestrator and composer, arranged the tracks to translate Seven Lions' cinematic synth work and melodic drops into a fully symphonic setting. The performance aims to rework material originally built on vocal chops, layered synths, and heavy low end for strings, brass, and woodwinds.

Following Award-Winning Album Cycle

The announcement follows a strong period for the artist. His album Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars and companion EP The Dreams Strange and Eternal earned Album of the Year honors from Dancing Astronaut and Best Album at the EDM Awards over the past year. Seven Lions has spent more than a decade developing a sound defined by melodic dubstep and mid-tempo bass records layered with orchestral textures and emotional songwriting.
