What's in the Pool Bag
Palm Springs is gearing up for the second weekend of Splash House, and three artists on the bill have shared what they're bringing poolside. The festival pairs house and techno sets with three resort hotel pools across the Southern California desert, drawing thousands of fans for two days of music and sun.
Kaleena Zanders keeps it straightforward: "Tequila. Preferably La Gritona. If that isn't available, I settle for Don Julio Blanco. Sometimes the life of the party needs a little starter. Ya know?"
Notebooks and Bluetooth Speakers
WHIPPED CREAM takes a more utilitarian approach. "Sunscreen, sunglasses, headphones, water, and one notebook. I like keeping it simple: everything I need to stay protected, hydrated, and in my own world for a minute. The notebook is essential because somehow my best ideas always show up when I'm supposed to be relaxing."
Dansyn, meanwhile, brings the studio to the pool. "A portable Bluetooth speaker. Music is pretty much attached to everything I do, so bringing a speaker is an easy choice. I love throwing on unreleased tracks, testing ideas, or finding a new record that ends up making its way into one of my sets. For me, the right soundtrack is what turns a good pool day into a great one."
Splash House's second weekend takes place across three resort hotels in Palm Springs, with the festival continuing its tradition of blending poolside lounging with curated house and techno programming.
