TL;DR

T-Pain has released "Push Up," his first official dubstep single, in collaboration with Sullivan King and Zoey808. The track marks a significant milestone in the hip-hop icon's year-long pivot into bass music, which began with a surprise appearance at Lost Lands in 2025 and includes upcoming performances at Electric Forest and Red Rocks.

T-Pain has released "Push Up," his first official dubstep single, in collaboration with Sullivan King and Zoey808. The track arrives after more than a year of the chart-topping artist's gradual shift into bass music.

A Metal-Dubstep Fusion With Filthy Bass

The single opens with biting bass as T-Pain's unmistakable voice glides atop the arrangement. His production then melds with King's signature metal-dubstep fusion in the track's ferocious drops while Zoey808, the mysterious masked breakout artist, brings the filthy sound that has defined his early releases.

From Hip-Hop Producer to Bass Music

T-Pain's infectious hooks made him synonymous with early-2000s hip-hop and R&B, but he is also a prolific music producer. He crafted a slew of his own timeless anthems, including "Buy U a Drank" and "Bartender," as well as global hits by Britney Spears ("Hot As Ice"), Chris Brown ("Kiss Kiss"), Gym Class Heroes ("Cookie Jar"), Lil Wayne ("Got Money") and Backstreet Boys ("International Luv"), among many others.

Lost Lands to Red Rocks

The pivot into dubstep began with a surprise appearance at Excision's Lost Lands festival in 2025 and saw him headline his first dubstep show in Atlanta in December. He's now primed for a b2b set at Electric Forest alongside Shaquille O'Neal, the NBA legend known in EDM circles as DJ Diesel, and a DJ set supporting Wooli at Red Rocks later this month.

"Push Up" is available on streaming services now.
