Tech House Treatment for Electroclash-Inspired Original
Tiga has released a Chris Lake remix of 'Silk Scarf' featuring Fcukers, out October 30 via Turbo Recordings x Secret City Records. The track is the latest entry in the HOTLIFE remix series, which has already featured contributions from DJ Hell, The Dare, Deetron, and others.
The original 'Silk Scarf' paired Tiga with New York band Fcukers, a collaboration the Montreal producer described in electroclash terms. "Their spirit reminds me of the Electroclash Summer of Love (Y2K – present)," he said. "You think we cared about genre boundaries? Think again."
Lake's Festival-Ready Rework
Lake's remix pushes the track toward tech house, foregrounding vocals from Tiga and Shanny for a version aimed at mainstages and big-room floors. "And who does a party track better than Chris Lake? Literally nobody," Tiga said.
The remix arrives as Lake wraps a strong year that included a GRAMMY nomination for his remix of The Chemical Brothers' 'Galvanize' and a #1 iTunes placement for his official remix of Taylor Swift's 'Opalite'. His debut album Chemistry hit #1 on Apple Music and Beatport's Dance Album charts, while June saw him sell more than 55,000 tickets across five sold-out shows in New York and Los Angeles.
HOTLIFE Remix Campaign Expands
The HOTLIFE remix project has brought in Ben Sterling, Tensal, Budino, and others to rework tracks from Tiga's first studio album in over a decade. Several songs—'Hot Wife,' 'Ecstasy Surrounds Me,' and 'Iamwhatiam'—have received dedicated vinyl EP treatments.
The original HOTLIFE album dropped earlier in 2026, featuring collaborations with Boys Noize, MRD, Maara, Priori, and Patrick Holland across 12 tracks. The Chris Lake remix is streaming now, with HOTLIFE LP remix vinyl available for pre-order through Secret City Records.
