Progressive House Collaboration Drops During ADE
TLUXX, MEETCH, and vocalist Carly Lind have released "Thunder," a progressive house track out now on Pulse Theory. The collaboration arrived during Amsterdam Dance Event, featuring rolling synths, deep percussion, and syncopated rhythms. Lind's vocal floats across the composition, giving the single what the producers describe as a main stage dynamic.
The Meaning Behind the Track
MEETCH explained that the song explores the cyclical nature of relationships. "Thunder is like a memory of the good and bad times with ex partners and friendships," he said. "Early days in new relationships, there's so much rush and excitement at the time. But similar to a storm, it all ends up calming down and ending. It just depends how you look at it."
TLUXX noted the creative process was seamless. "(Thunder) came together so easily. Writing this vocal with Carly was a flawless collaboration," he said. "We wanted to make a hybrid house and progressive house track for our upcoming battle 'Pulse Theory vs Robotic Rumble' and we did just that."
Carly Lind drew from personal experience for the lyrics. "I was thinking about my past relationships when writing this. How people really never appreciate everything you do until you're gone and thought this could literally be a whole song and more," she said.
Label Showcase at Amsterdam Dance Event
MEETCH and TLUXX brought their respective imprints, Robotic Rumble and Pulse Theory, together for a joint showcase at Amsterdam's Bar Bacan on October 23rd. The event ran from 3pm to 8:30pm and featured sets from Castor & Pollux, Hel:sløwed, AFTERUS, Aldor, and Tomorrowland DJ contest winner Rikki.
"Thunder" by TLUXX, MEETCH, and Carly Lind is available now on Pulse Theory.
