Tommy Phillips has reached No. 1 on the Beatport Top 100 with "Sun is Shining (Lovelee Dae)," less than two weeks after the track's August 19 release on Safelight Records. The UK producer's house cut dethroned Ultra Naté, HUGEL and Imael Angel's "Movin' To The Sun" — the Coachella-premiered track that had held the top spot since at least mid-August — which now sits at No. 2.
From Beatport exclusive to streaming and UK charts
The track initially launched as a Beatport exclusive before expanding to Spotify and SoundCloud. It has also crossed over to mainstream UK charts, landing at No. 25 on the Official Singles Sales Chart and No. 23 on the Official Singles Downloads Chart this week. The record is built around a nod to Blaze's 1997 classic "Lovelee Dae."
Phillips' breakthrough moment
Phillips is a UK producer whose biggest prior release was an official mau5trap remix of deadmau5 and Kaskade's "I Remember" in March 2025, plus a single through Warner Records. This marks his first track to top the main Beatport chart.
Top 10 remains stable
The rest of the Beatport Top 10 has remained relatively stable, with Rooléh's "Want To Know" climbing to No. 3 and the Michael Bibi, KETTAMA and Wu-Tang Clan collaboration "MYSTERY OF RAW" holding at No. 4. Cloonee and Prospa continue to appear twice in the top ranks, maintaining the groove-first house and golden-era vocal formula that has dominated recent chart performance.
"Sun is Shining (Lovelee Dae)" is available now on Beatport, Spotify and SoundCloud.
