Tomorrowland Extends Its Winning Streak
Tomorrowland has been voted the world's number one festival in the 2026 edition of DJ Mag's Top 100 Festivals, marking a record sixth consecutive win. The Belgian festival, which transforms the town of Boom into a temporary electronic music capital each summer, welcomed around 400,000 visitors across two weekends in 2025. Results were announced via a social media countdown following what DJ Mag described as another record-breaking voting period.
Founders Michiel and Manu Beers responded to the win, saying the recognition belongs to "the entire Tomorrowland family: our visitors, artists, partners, suppliers and the thousands of people who work passionately behind the scenes throughout the year." They added that receiving recognition directly from the global electronic music community and DJ Mag readers is "both humbling and inspiring."
EDC Las Vegas Jumps to Second, Coachella Drops Out of Top 10
EDC Las Vegas climbed back to second place after celebrating its 30th anniversary in May, making it the highest North American festival. Romania's UNTOLD held steady in third, while Ultra Music Festival dropped to fourth. Coachella fell out of the top 10 for the first time, landing at number 12.
The top 10 also includes UK festivals Creamfields (seventh) and Glastonbury (ninth), India's Sunburn, Italy's Kappa FuturFestival (eighth), and Germany's PAROOKAVILLE (tenth). Austria's Electric Love jumped to 11th, EDC Orlando rose to 16th, and Greece's PRIMER climbed 23 spots to 19th.
Global Representation Expands
Festivals from 35 countries ranked in the poll this year. The United States leads with 15 festivals, up two from last year thanks to new entry III Points and the return of Beyond Wonderland. The UK and the Netherlands tied for second with nine festivals each. UK festival Houghton, organized by fabric resident Craig Richards, earned the Highest Climber award by rising 43 places to land at 43rd.
Germany and Thailand each claimed seven spots. Thailand's WHITE PARTY BANGKOK became the first dedicated LGBTQ+ festival to break into the poll, making Thailand the Asian country with the most ranked festivals. Eight new entries appeared overall, with Indonesia's Scream Or Dance claiming the Highest New Entry title at number 71.
DJ Mag's Top 100 Festivals poll first launched in 2019 with a panel of DJs selecting winners. After a pandemic hiatus, it returned in 2022 with public voting, and participation has grown each year since. The full Top 100 Festivals 2026 list is available at djmag.com/top100festivals.
