Tomorrowland has unveiled 'Consciencia,' the centerpiece of its 2026 edition, as Weekend 1 continues in Boom, Belgium. The structure is the largest and most ambitious mainstage in the festival's history, standing over 43 meters tall and stretching 140 meters wide.
Scale and Design
The stage is equipped with 56 lasers, 38 fountains and two waterfalls. Six monumental heads crown the structure, each embodying a primal emotion at the core of the 'Consciencia' world. The festival is set to welcome roughly 400,000 attendees from more than 200 countries, with performances from Martin Garrix, Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Hardwell, among others.
Built in the Shadow of Catastrophe
Just one year ago, a catastrophic fire tore through Tomorrowland's 'Orbyz' mainstage 48 hours before the festival's gates opened. The 'Orbyz' stage had taken two years to construct. Crews rebuilt on the same spot in that 48-hour window, and Metallica loaned stage components from their European tour so the 2025 edition could proceed.
After passing an independent safety review ahead of its return, Tomorrowland answered adversity by building bigger than ever. "After what happened to the mainstage last year, this feels like a rebirth," Laidback Luke commented.
'Consciencia' will anchor Tomorrowland's 2026 story across both weekends in Boom.
