Twisted Festival Debuts in Atlanta, Marks Shift for Techno Scene

Three Stages, Industrial Backdrop

Atlanta Utility Works provided the industrial architecture for the debut of Twisted Festival, organized by local collective Twisted Lines. The venue accommodated three distinct environments across the site. The Machinery stage sat enclosed within factory walls, delivering industrial techno in a high-pressure enclosure. The Ruins occupied an open-air foundry framework, pairing weathered brick with laser projection. The Industrial Forest, an outdoor area behind the warehouse, combined strobes with canopy cover for a hypnotic open-air experience.

The production relied on a Funktion-One sound system that delivered low-end power without sacrificing midrange clarity. Acoustic bleed across the three stages was minimal, and the system ran without outages over both nights.

International and Domestic Roster

The lineup spanned international and domestic techno artists. Kobosil, Onlynumbers, Ueberrest, EMILIJA, Fenrick, BAUGRUPPE90, and Selective Response anchored a curation that bridged relentless techno, hard grooves, and acid textures. The programming kept energy consistent from early evening through late night across the two-day event.

Transit and Logistics

Situated in East Point, the venue sits roughly 10 to 15 minutes from Atlanta's International Airport. Rideshare fares fluctuated between $5 and $25 depending on timing and surge pricing. Multiple hotels within a five-minute drive kept transit minimal, and the surrounding area proved walkable, with lodging roughly one mile from the venue. On-site, bar queues moved quickly, water stations remained accessible, and entry lines stayed organized during peak hours.

Twisted Lines has confirmed the festival will return in 2027, with word spreading that the experience could expand to a full three-day weekend format.
