UNTOLD 2026 Draws 500,000 to Cluj-Napoca Across Four Days

Record Attendance and Headline Performances

UNTOLD closed its 2026 edition with more than 500,000 attendees across four days in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, from August 6-9. The closing night alone pulled in 120,000 people as nine stages ran simultaneously on the grounds of Cluj Arena.

Sting opened the weekend with his first stadium show in Romania, bringing a Grammy-winning rock presence to a crowd built largely for dance music. The Chainsmokers delivered a 10-year anniversary set centered on their track "Closer," which turned into a mass singalong.

EDM Headliners and Surprise Guests

Afrojack played a back-to-back set with R3HAB, while Steve Aoki closed out the weekend. Alan Walker and Sara Landry, an EDM.com Class of 2024 artist, also performed. Lewis Capaldi delivered one of the weekend's most talked-about sets with his ballad-heavy performance.

Romanian star Loredana Groza made a surprise appearance during Lost Frequencies' set, adding a local moment to an otherwise international lineup.

Operational Scale in a Medieval City

Running nine stages simultaneously for four straight nights without logistical collapse was a quiet achievement for the festival's production team. Cluj-Napoca, a city better known for its stark medieval architecture than festival culture, continues to transform with each passing edition of UNTOLD.

UNTOLD's 2027 event, dubbed "STAR EDITION," is set for August 5-8. The festival has sustained its momentum for 11 years running, announcing next year's dates immediately after this edition wrapped.
