From Eurodance to Afro-Latin House
Released through Pitbull's Mr. 305 Records, "Ibiza Love" filters Maya's signature accordion hook through an Afro-Latin house lens. The track trades the original's Eurodance pulse for sun-soaked percussion and Spanish-language vocals, co-produced by Latin Grammy-nominated Venezuelan-American producer Mr. Pauer and co-written by Warner Chappell songwriter Robbie Elias.
Latin Grammy Pedigree
The Miami-based, Cuban-Ecuadorian vocalist earned a 2024 Latin Grammy nomination for "BAMBOLE" with Deorro in the debut year of the Best Latin Electronic Music Performance category. Mr. Pauer landed in the same category one year later for "Rulay en Dubai."
A Fan-Driven Collaboration
Maya's involvement came through an internet-driven campaign. "I still can't believe that the internet really did its thing and got us the attention of Edward Maya and that he has blessed us with this official Spanish remake for 2026," Vikina said of the fan effort that brought the project to the Romanian producer's attention.
"Ibiza Love" is available now on streaming platforms.
