Mediterranean Roots Meet Electronic Production
Zehavi's music draws from the Arabic, Moroccan, Persian, Greek, and Mediterranean melodies he grew up around. His father taught him bouzouki from a young age, and those ethnic melodies became a core part of his musical identity. He formed a band performing original music and classic songs in a Mediterranean and Greek-inspired atmosphere before discovering electronic music. The combination of live ethnic instruments with electronic production felt unique, something he wanted to develop further.
Taking Creative Control on "Aliya"
Zehavi took full creative control on the release of "Aliya" alongside Lior Narkis. The vision was to create an English record combined with Arabic influences. Seeing Narkis, an artist of his level and background, step into a language and musical atmosphere that was less familiar to him was exciting and inspiring. One of the biggest challenges was making sure the fusion felt natural and authentic while remaining accessible to a wide audience. The track reached audiences around the world and showed him that music can break boundaries and unite people emotionally.
Balancing Emotion and Energy
Credited as performer, producer, and co-writer, Zehavi was involved in every detail of the track, from melodies and production to atmosphere and energy. The creative process was organic, with time spent experimenting with sounds, languages, and different musical influences until everything felt authentic and emotionally connected. Coming from both a live musical background and an electronic production world, he tries to balance emotion with energy. Seeing people from different countries and cultures connect to something created in the studio is one of the best feelings an artist can experience, he says.
Zehavi's recent growth across streaming platforms and social media has opened doors for collaborations around the world, live performance opportunities, and relationships with people who remain part of his life. His openness with his audience has created a strong connection, with followers responding not only to the music itself but to the authenticity behind it.
