Ørjan Nilsen and DJ MEETCH Collaborate on "Body On Me"

Ørjan Nilsen has teamed up with US producer DJ MEETCH for "Body On Me," a new single arriving August 21 on Robotic Rumbling Records. The track marks the first studio collaboration between the two artists.

High-octane electro with vocal stabs

"Body On Me" blends bouncing electro with vocal stabs and synth lines that build to a euphoric drop. MEETCH described the track's ethos: "I have always had a vision of what I want my music to sound like and what my brand would be about. 'Body On Me' is the perfect reflection of that – it's energetic, yet emotional, it allows for people to see the dancefloor as their safe haven, it's groovy, it's fun, it's just a song for the people."

On working with Nilsen, MEETCH added: "Working with Ørjan was such an amazing experience – he brings so much legacy and knowledge, and I think together we managed to bring a perfect balance between melodic house and peak groove energy. I can't wait to see how people connect with it!"

Staying fresh after 20 years

In a conversation with EDM House Network, Nilsen reflected on maintaining creative momentum over two decades. "Learning new techniques and dabbling with other genres creates a lot of inspiration and creativity," he said. "I think if you stop and refuse to embrace other genres or even changes in your own you're doomed to stagnate. So far, I just love the journey of finding out new things."

Asked about the collaboration, Nilsen said: "It was so much fun, it's always good stepping out of your comfort zone and working with new talented people, and Meetch is such a nice guy it just flowed."

More collaborations ahead

Nilsen confirmed that additional music with MEETCH is in the pipeline, set for release on his label In My Opinion. The Norwegian artist recently performed at Street Parade in Zürich and is scheduled to play Park Beats Festival in Poland.
